Your account disappeared from TopstepX: passed, lost or closed?

Updated September 6, 2026

When a connected account stops appearing in TopstepX's active account list, Propfy does not guess what happened. It asks you.

The prompt

You will see "What happened to this account?" with four answers: I lost the account, I closed it, Promoted to Live, and Still active. Where several accounts dropped off at once, the prompt asks about them together.

If the account's last known balance was near the profit target, you get the pass prompt instead: "Did you pass?", with Yes or Not yet. Confirming records the milestone.

Your history is always kept

Whichever answer you pick, your trades, reviews and performance history stay exactly as they are. Nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden. The only thing an answer changes is whether Propfy keeps polling the broker for that account.

What each answer does

I lost the account, I closed it, and Promoted to Live all retire the connection. Propfy stops syncing it, the account stops holding your primary connection slot, and its end date is recorded. The account keeps its place in your history and its trades keep counting in your statistics.

Still active leaves the connection running and Propfy keeps syncing it. Pick this one if the account was only temporarily absent from the list.

If you answered wrong

Where an account was recorded as ended and it was actually a pass, the milestone card offers "No, I passed", which corrects it and records the milestone. For anything else, open a ticket and our team will fix it by hand.

The prompt appears only for accounts past the evaluation stage, and only while the connection is still marked active.

Risk Disclosure

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one's financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Hypothetical Performance Disclosure

Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect trading results.
