Payment failed: the 48-hour grace period and what happens next

Updated September 6, 2026

A declined payment does not switch your account off the moment it fails.

The 48-hour grace period

When a renewal payment fails, your subscription moves to past due and a 48-hour grace window opens. Through that window everything keeps working exactly as it did: your plan is still entitled, your agents still run, your imports still work.

If the payment succeeds inside the window, nothing further happens. If the window closes without a successful payment, the account moves to limited mode.

Trials do not get a grace period

A trial ends on its own date. There is no failed payment, so there is nothing to retry, and the account moves to limited mode when the clock runs out. Starting a plan is what continues it.

Limited mode is not a lockout

Your journal stays whole and readable, and broker sync keeps adding to it. What pauses is the paid modules. Nothing you created is deleted or hidden.

Updating your card

Propfy bills through Stripe, and card details are handled in Stripe's own billing portal. Propfy never sees or stores your card number.

1. Open Settings, then Billing. 2. Press the renew or manage button. It opens your Stripe billing portal. 3. Update the card, or pay the outstanding invoice from the portal. 4. Access returns as soon as Stripe confirms the payment.

If the button says there is no saved card on the account, there is no subscription to repair. Start a plan from the pricing page instead.

If the portal will not open, the pricing page is the fallback. If a payment went through and your account is still limited an hour later, open a ticket with the date and the amount and we will check it against Stripe.

Risk Disclosure

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one's financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Hypothetical Performance Disclosure

Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect trading results.
