Risk alerts: daily loss limit, drawdown room and Telegram
Updated September 4, 2026
Propfy warns you as the day's loss climbs toward the limit, and it measures every account against that account's own limit rather than a blended total.
In the app. The daily loss meter fills as the session goes: safe to 40% of the limit, warning from 40%, critical from 80%. Risk Guardian raises an alert at 50%, 75% and 95% of the account's limit. Live Coach interrupts you during the session when a close crosses the warning tier or reaches the limit, capped at five interruptions a day so the ones you get are worth reading.
On Telegram. The 75% and 95% alerts also push to Telegram once you have linked it. Telegram alerts are included from Pro upward.
1. Connect TopstepX under Accounts. Your balance and the parameters for the account's size sync from the broker, so a Topstep 150K account is measured against the published Daily Loss Limit for that size, synced from your account.
2. On another broker, or on a CSV account, open Accounts and enter the limit yourself.
3. Optional: set your own daily loss limit, tighter than the firm's. Where you set one, Propfy measures you against yours.
4. In Settings, open Notifications, press Connect Telegram, start the bot, then switch Telegram on.
Accounts you keep by CSV only move when you import, so their alerts arrive with the file rather than with the trade.
Firm rules change; the account's own parameters are the authority.
