Path

5 winning days, with no cap on how much one day carries.

Sessions in the window whose net cleared the floor. Example figure.

Wins and losses in the window, net. Example figure.

The best single session in the window. Example figure.

2 more winning days

  • 3 of 5 winning days of $150 net or more.
  • Net profit in the window is $2,146, which is positive.
  • Largest day is 31% of the window, under 40%.

Largest day is 31% of the window

That sits inside the 40% share the consistency path allows, so the shorter path is open to you once the day count is there.

The window resets after a payout request, and the share is measured again from the trading day after it.

Trades on the day of a payout request do not count. The new window starts the next trading day.

A worked example on a window three winning days deep

Five sessions since the last payout request, on an account whose winning day floor is $150 of net:

Day 1 nets $665winning day, 1 of 5
Day 2 nets $120, under the floorstill 1 of 5
Day 3 nets $640winning day, 2 of 5
Day 4 nets $111, under the floorstill 2 of 5
Day 5 nets $610winning day, 3 of 5
Net profit in the window$2,146
Largest day as a share of that profit31%

Two more winning days to go on the standard path. On the consistency path the day count is already met, and at 31 percent the largest day sits under the 40 percent share, so that path is open today. Notice days 2 and 4: both were green, both added to net profit, and neither moved the count, because the count is of sessions that cleared the floor rather than of sessions that finished positive.

Notice the share as well. It is a share of $2,146, not of the account balance. Had day 1 netted $1,400 instead of $665 with the same total, the largest day would be 65 percent of the window and the consistency path would be shut until later sessions brought the share back down.

How the count works

A payout is gated on winning days, not on a profit target. A winning day is a session whose net cleared a published floor, $150 on the program above, so a session that finishes $40 up is a green day and not a winning one. The count runs from the trading day after your last payout request and it only ever goes up: a losing session leaves it where it stands.

The second condition is that net profit since that last request is positive. The two conditions come apart more often than traders expect. An account can hold five winning days and a negative window, because three heavy losing sessions sit between them, and the day count alone would have said it was ready.

The shorter path trades days for evenness. It asks for three winning days rather than five, and in exchange no single day may carry more than 40 percent of the profit in the window. One outsized session is what usually closes that path, and the only thing that reopens it is more profit spread across other sessions, because the share is measured against the window's total rather than against anything fixed.

Common questions

When does the payout window reset?

It resets on the payout request. The count of winning days and the profit the consistency share is measured against both start again from the trading day after you request, which is why a request made in the middle of a strong run ends that run for counting purposes. Nothing carries across: a window that was four winning days deep is a window of zero the day after a request.

Does a red day count against the winning days?

Not against the count itself. A winning day is a session whose net cleared the published floor, and a losing session simply is not one, so the count stands still rather than falling. The loss does land on the other condition, because net profit since the last payout has to be positive, and a red day pulls that number down. A green session under the floor behaves the same way: it adds to net profit and adds nothing to the count.

Is the consistency share measured against my balance or my profit?

Profit, and only profit in the current window. The share compares your largest single day against the total net profit made since your last payout, so a window holding $2,000 of profit measures a $665 day against $2,000 and reads 31 percent. Reading it against the account balance instead is the common and expensive mistake, because on a six-figure account every day looks like a fraction of a percent and the real share goes unnoticed until a request is turned down.

Do trades on the day I request a payout count?

No. Sessions traded on the day of the request belong to the window that is closing, not to the one that opens afterwards, and the new count starts on the next trading day. Planning around that is worth a little care: a strong session traded on request day counts toward neither window in the way most traders assume it will.
