Questions and answers
Everything traders ask about Propfy
Grouped by what you are trying to find out. If something here is still unclear, the support chat on every page answers from the help center and opens a ticket when it cannot.
Getting started
What Propfy is, who it is for, and what happens after you sign up.
Propfy is a trading journal, analytics and discipline system for futures traders running prop firm accounts. It records your own trading, grades it against the rules you set, and puts the behaviour in front of you while there is still a session left to change.
Futures daytraders on prop firm programs, whether you are working through an evaluation or already earning payouts. It is built around the programs at Topstep, Apex, TakeProfitTrader, MyFundedFutures, Earn2Trade and other futures prop firms.
You create an account, connect a broker or import a file, and your trades land in the journal. From there the Trade Coach grades each closed trade, the Rule Enforcer checks the rules you wrote, the Risk Guardian measures every account against its own limits, and the weekly coach turns the whole week into what to keep and what to change.
Read the full guideA dashboard checklist walks you through seven steps: your profile, the account phase, a broker connection, your daily loss limit, your first trade, five trades, and your first agent run. Every step is derived from what is actually saved, so nothing there is a box you tick yourself.
Read the full guideEach account carries a phase, set in Settings under Accounts, and the phase decides which rule set Propfy holds it to. Propfy sets it for you where the broker makes it clear, and you can correct it any time without removing and re-adding the account.
Read the full guideOne screen that answers what to do next: your balance, the room left today before the worst account in scope reaches its daily loss limit, the room left against trailing drawdown, days traded and your clean streak. Under it sits one sentence chosen by the clock, and before the open that is the day ahead rather than yesterday.

How your trades get in, and what Propfy does with them once they are there.
TopstepX is the fullest connection: you add your own API key and Propfy syncs your accounts, fills, balances and account parameters, and Tradovate connects through its own sign-in. Everything else comes in by file, and the import screen reads TopstepX and ProjectX exports, Tradovate exports, FTMO MT4 and MT5 statements, and a generic CSV for any platform that can export a trade history.
Read the full guideImport a CSV. If your platform can export a trade history, Propfy can almost certainly read it, and the column reference in the help center says exactly what the file needs to contain.
Read the full guideNo. Propfy groups mirrored fills back into the one decision that produced them, so six accounts still read as one trade in every behavioural number: trades per day, streaks, rule adherence and the dashboard. The money is never deduplicated, so every dollar on every account is counted exactly as it happened.
Read the full guideThe day it was closed, resolved in New York time on the 18:00 ET futures rollover, which is how a futures prop firm counts a day. The session label on a trade is decided separately, by when you entered, so a trade can carry a London pill and sit on the next trading day.
Read the full guideThe message tells you which. Only a rejected credential asks you to reconnect; everything else is a transient broker problem and clears on its own. Either way a failed sync imports nothing and deletes nothing, so the trades already in your journal stay exactly where they are.
Read the full guideThe activity log under Accounts lists every sync and import, what landed, when, which account it touched, and whether you ran it or the platform did. That is a faster answer than squinting at a number on the dashboard.

The rules you set, the limits Propfy watches, and what it does when you are close to one.
A maximum number of trades a day, a stop after consecutive losses, a rule that locks in a green session, a daily loss limit, a risk ceiling per trade, a position-sizing rule, and free-form rules of your own. Propfy marks the trades that broke them and gives you an adherence figure per session.
Read the full guideBoth are recorded, and yours wins. Your firm’s limit is the one that ends the account and you cannot change it; your own limit is a rule you set, and when it is set Propfy measures the day against yours so you stop yourself first.
Read the full guidePer account, against that account’s own limit, never against a blended total. The account with the least room is the one that headlines, because that is the one that ends your week.
Read the full guideNo. Propfy never places, blocks or cancels an order, and it holds no trading permission on your account. It records and reflects, and the stopping is still yours to do.
Read the full guideConnect Telegram and Propfy sends a post-trade summary, a drawdown warning naming the account and how much of its daily loss limit is gone, a rule-break notice after the session review, and a weekly recap. Every message carries a link straight to the page that shows the detail.
Read the full guideThe Trade Coach grades each closed trade from A to D with the coaching to go with it, and it runs on newly closed trades on its own. The question it anchors to is whether your setup was actually there before you entered, not whether the trade made money.
Read the full guideYes, on the account closest to a payout: winning days against the goal, and the consistency picture behind them. Requesting the payout itself happens at the firm that holds the account, so the button is a hand-off to their site and says so before you click it.
R-multiples planned and realized, expectancy per decision, maximum and average drawdown, hold times, best and worst periods, and scatter plots of your results by time of day and holding period. Every average carries its own denominator beside it, so you can always see how much of your record it was built from.

What the agents read, what they produce, and what they will not do.
Each one answers a different question about your own data: what matters before the open, what happened in a trade you took, which of your rules you broke, how close each account is to a limit, the behavioural patterns your history shows, and the weekly view of what to keep and what to change.
Read the full guideIt will not trade for you, tell you what to buy or sell, or invent an answer. The agents read your data and nothing else, so with no trades imported they say so rather than producing something that reads well and means nothing.
Read the full guideA pre-session read on the day: a direction, how strongly it is held, the drivers behind it and the level that invalidates it, published once per trading day and shared rather than personalised. It is context for planning, not a trade signal, and you apply your own model on top of it.
Read the full guideEvery plan carries a daily and a monthly allowance of agent runs, and one run is one generation made on your behalf. The counters reset at 00:00 UTC, the feature tells you which allowance you reached and when it comes back, and anything the server starts on its own is not charged to you.

Plans, the trial, cancelling, and what happens when a plan ends.
Pro is $49 a month or $490 a year, and Elite is $99 a month or $990 a year. Annual is priced at ten months for twelve, everything is in US dollars through Stripe, and prices are the same wherever you trade from.
Read the full guideYes, seven days of Pro with no card. The clock does not start at signup: it starts when you connect a broker account or import a CSV that actually brings trades in, because seven days of an empty dashboard is not a trial of anything.
Read the full guideYour whole trade ledger, every agent run and coach conversation you already had, your rules, your strategies and your adherence history, all readable, and broker sync keeps adding new trades. What pauses is the paid modules, and they are shown disabled rather than hidden so you can see what comes back.
Read the full guideYes, from the billing section of your account settings, which opens Stripe’s own portal. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending the period you have already paid for.
Read the full guideYes, from the same Stripe billing portal. A plan change is handled as a change to future billing rather than as money back on what you have already paid.
Read the full guideSubscription payments are non-refundable except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Genuine billing errors are a different thing and are corrected: a double charge, a charge after cancelling, or an amount that does not match the price shown at checkout.
A 48-hour grace window opens and everything keeps working exactly as it did. Update the card in the Stripe billing portal inside that window and nothing further happens; Propfy never sees or stores your card number.

Where your trading record lives, who can see it, and how to take it away.
Yes, from your account settings, as a single file generated on demand from the live database. Anything deliberately left out is listed inside the export itself with a plain-English reason, rather than being quietly missing.
Read the full guideFrom the same settings screen. It runs on a thirty-day fuse that you can cancel at any point, and while it is pending Propfy stops emailing you and stops writing new background data about you.
Read the full guideIt is encrypted with authenticated AES-256 before it is stored, it is never displayed back to you in full, and it is used to read your accounts and fills and for nothing else. Propfy holds no permission to place an order and never sends a trading instruction to your broker.
Read the full guideNothing, until you choose otherwise. Dollar amounts can never be shared on Propfy at all, and the community board ranks discipline instead: you pick which of your streak, adherence and profit factor other traders can see, and turning the profile off removes you immediately. Propfy staff do not view your individual trades, fills or trading results either; the internal administration tools show account status and activity counts only.

Where Propfy sits next to your firm, and where it deliberately does not.
No. Propfy is an independent trading journal and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any firm, and it is not a broker, an adviser or a prop firm itself. Firm names appear only to identify whose published rules a figure came from.
No, and it is not trying to. Your firm’s own published rules are the authority on your account; Propfy is a trader-side layer that shows you where you stand against them in time to do something about it.
Each figure is read off the page the firm publishes it on, never inferred and never carried from memory, and it is shown with the date it was last read beside a link to that source. Published figures change, so check the source before you rely on a number.
Read the full guideNo. Propfy is a trading journal and an educational tool, and nothing in it, including the coaching, the briefs, the analytics and the alerts, is financial or investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Trading futures carries substantial risk of loss and your decisions are your own.
